If Christ Was Jewish, Why Is Bethlehem "Occupied"?

Jerusalem, Israel --- December 26, 2015 ... The EU (European Union) is attempting to prevent products from Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria from being labeled as made in Israel. 

So we kindly ask the EU, where was Christ born?

If Christ was born in Bethlehem and was Jewish, then who is "occupying" Bethlehem or what the EU refers to as the West Bank?
